Colorado GEAR UP uses unconventional strategies to produce some astonishing results. Utilizing an intensive case-management model, early remediation interventions, dual enrollment and CLEP, Colorado GEAR UP has over 90% of their students graduate high school, over 80% of their students attend college, and a college retention rate of over 80%. These numbers are especially impressive since this was accomplished with students who were below grade level in middle school. This book is a quantitative review of the efforts of Colorado GEAR UP staff.
