Daganbhuiyan upazila is a very potential area for tilapia culture. There are total 8700 ponds in the Daganbhuiyan upazila. Most of the ponds are using for tilapia farming. Tilapia culture expansions increasing day by day in this area. This study was conducted to identify present status of tilapia farming and to analyze the role of socio-economic condition of the tilapia farmer.
