Ethnomedicinal Flora of Kachchh-gujarat: a Case of Western Kachchh Rohitkumar Patel

Kachchh district of Gujarat State represent the distinct forest types including components of Biodiversity along the various habitat gradients. Besides of this Biodiversity, the district also support unique cultural diversity and the engagement of local to the natural resources. Present work highlight the plant-human relationship in terms of their traditional medicinal uses for human being and livestock. Here it was also emphasis the need of conservation and transmission of such unique knowledge among the younger generation. Pastoral community has quite good engagement with this compare to other communities including younger generation. It was also suggest to conservation certain important plant resources from the threats of over-exploitation and other developmental activities
