Climate Change and Its Impact on Landuse: the Impact of Changing Climate on Landuse Caroline Mulinya

Changing climate has had an impact on the various land uses and vice versa. It has been observed that change in land use such as conversion of agricultural land to urban lands could affect climate and in the long run lead to climate change. On the other hand changes in climate can lead to human having to change the way in which land is used, for example if the rains continually being less and less this could lead to growing of crops that can withstand drought and hence changes in the types of crops grown or even animals kept. Therefore climate affects landuse and landuse affects climate and hence need to maintain a balance and have land use practises that are suitable to mitigate climate change.
