The main focus of my research was to look at the relationship between; seated posture, specifically lower back curvature or lordosis, biofeedback control, and lower back pain. There were initially three main objectives with this project: The first objective was to develop a device that would be capable of measuring and recording the curvature of the lower back. The second main objective of the project was to see if there was any correlation between biofeedback and seated posture. Furthermore, could biofeedback from the device be used to control this posture. The last objective of the project was to determine if controlling seated posture utilizing biofeedback, from the device, had any effect on low back pain.
