Girl Linda
This is a story about a house in Yokohama, called 'Mirror House' where Linda has lived since her marriage. Mirror House can be thought of as a house of illusion. Linda has schizophrenia and the story is based on true events. Being mentally impaired, she is unable to do anything on her own, much like a child. After all, her married life has become like a children's playhouse because of her inability to perform the wife's duties. "Is she Nightingale or an Imekura (a type of Japanese prostitute) girl?" She is isolated from the outside world since she has a disability and does not leave the house. She does creative activities within these circumstances (Linda in a birdcage). Why is she there? There are her family's thoughts behind why she's there. The last chapter, 'Getting Out of the Mirror House', celebrates her overcoming schizophrenia.
