The grid divides the original picture into smaller squares that are easier to see and draw on. Instead of trying to copy an entire image, pay attention to one block at a time. Try as carefully as possible when drawing or coloring in each little square by copying what is there onto your paper! The more careful you are with this method, the better it will be for developing your observation skills and ability to preserve aspects ratios - enjoy yourself while doing so!
