Crossing the 60 years of life I landed in a different Morocco. What I knew during the years 1960 to 2000 vanished. Starvation became history. Food security and the presence of a relatively performing health system, have given Moroccans 20 more years of life span. My Morocco hosts a culture that crosses different paths. From religiosity to conservatism to allow a kind of modernism. These are expressed in mosques, bars, clubs, and zawiyas. Women do their best either to make it or to step back to a traditional way of life. This does not prevent her from education nor from empowerment. The family can be a blessing or a curse for her education. If she has the strength to overcome the family conflictual challenges, she can make it to her purpose. She made it possible for herself thanks to her determination. Thanks to her awakening!
