The building is one of the largest consumers of electrical energy in Senegal. The building is one of the largest consumers of electrical energy in Senegal. This electrical energy is produced by thermal power stations that emit greenhouse gases. In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, an energy efficiency programme in buildings has been initiated in Senegal. The project aims to develop energy efficiency practices in the construction of buildings in the residential and commercial sectors in Senegal. To address this issue, we will demonstrate energy efficiency techniques in a residential building. For example, a residential villa will be modeled in EnergyPlus. Energy efficiency measures on the envelope and systems will be evaluated and recommendations in the residential building will be made.
