Heterotrophic euglenae in water bodies in the south of the Omsk region Natalia Gavrilova

Faunistic, morphometric, cytochemical, and ecological studies allowed us to evaluate the species composition of heterotrophic eugenids in water bodies of the Omsk region; to reveal the specifics of species distribution in various types of water bodies, the character of seasonal dynamics of abundance and species diversity; to assess the water conditions in water bodies. The data on species morphology, biology, and, in particular, peculiarities of their life cycles will improve the existing system of heterotrophic euglenids. The results obtained expand the understanding of the regional fauna, morphology, biology, and peculiarities of the ecology of heterotrophic euglenids. Materials of the work can be used for teaching courses of zoology of invertebrates, protistology, ecology, cytology and evolutionary teachings, for the performance of graduate works.
