Agricultural valorization of urban waste sludge Sarra Hechmi

In agricultural countries with soils deficient in organic matter, the recovery of wastewater sludge could be considered as the most suitable recycling method for rebalancing biogeochemical cycles (C, N, P..), for environmental protection and for improving crop yields. Will sewage sludge recovery be a solution for the future? In the short and medium term, no doubt, but on condition that the quality of the sludge is within the regulatory framework for land application.
