Patriotic Education and Internationalization of Higher Education Oleg Yarovikov

The paper explores the problem of patriotic education of students at the present stage of internationalization of higher education. The author identifies the dominant values of the main historical stages in the development of the idea of patriotic education, which reflect national and multicultural aspects in the understanding of true patriotism. This allows to substantiate a number of theoretical provisions on the relationship between patriotic and multicultural upbringing of young people. A dialog model aimed at the development of value aspects of patriotism through various forms of intercultural communication and dialogic interaction at different levels (corporate, state, international) is proposed. The materials of the study can be used in the development of training courses in higher education; in the creation of concepts and models of educational work with students; designing various areas of patriotic education of young people on the basis of intercultural interaction. The publication is intended for students, graduate students, university professors and all those interested in the problems of patriotic education and international cooperation in the field of higher education.
