It was just the beginning of the year, and shock waves hit St. Anne's like it had never done before; and with this quality being particularly uncharacteristic of a new term, it appeared a jittery exception; As it qualified to be by ritual, we were not entirely in our element of focus and realization that indeed the holidays were over, that it was high time the movie watching, novel munching, and mindless gallivanting marathons, came to an end. It was a new session. In other words, new demons. For me, Mathematics and Physics were top on the list. I started off completely numb on the first day and had movie scenes replaying in my head and on the second day, I fell sound asleep through them all like an overworked mule. I had thought it would get better. Then, news came like a chilly wind that someone had been attacked. I could not consider any of it true when everything began.
