Woman and Loneliness
Natanielly Bonifacio
The objective of this paper is to understand female loneliness from a psychoanalytic perspective. The feeling of loneliness is something that has always been present in the social sphere, causing psychic illness and weakening interpersonal relationships. To talk about loneliness is to discuss the social ties in today's world, to be able to think about the relationships with one's fellows and the impasses of love life in today's life. This is a theoretical work, based on research in psychoanalytic theory and the discussion of loneliness will be articulated in the reflection about Coco Chanel's life. Initially, the woman and loneliness will be discussed, emphasizing the psychic and libidinal development: the psychic apparatus, ego development, narcissism, sexuality, the pre-edipal relationship and the female Oedipus complex. Next, Loneliness in today's world and the relationship between the female subject and love will be emphasized. In the third part, the life of Coco Chanel will be emphasized and discussed from the psychoanalytic point of view.
