This monograph describes the history of social work development in Kyrgyzstan. Social work is and must be understood as one of the significant factors in the progressive development of man and society. As an activity, it is currently developing in our country under specific socio-economic, political, cultural and spiritual-moral conditions. In the field of practice and education, social work has achieved certain successes. However, it seems that the level of its scientific self-definition does not yet correspond to its place and role in society.
