Painted in tempera on papyrus these cards were partially inspired by the tarot created by the famous occultist Jean-Baptiste Pitois in 1870. According to Pitois the tarot came from the legendary Book of Thoth a knowledgeable book which explains all of the mysteries of Egyptian magic. The new editions of the Grand Trumps have better cards, new graphics, revised instructions and hardbox. 22 full colour cards
