The result of a study conducted to identify the types of interventions ADB should support, and the types of strategic entry points it should seek, in servicing its developing member countries, this report highlights major structural, institutional, and sociocultural constraints affecting the sociological status of women in four developing member countries of the Asian Development Bank: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Information addressing the issues relevant to improving the legal status of women in each of the four countries is discussed.
