Phillip K. Lu, CSU Distinguished Professor of Astronomy Emeritus, earned an MA from Wesleyan University, CT and a Ph. D. from Columbia University, published more than 100 research papers in Astronomical Journals, translated and edited a half of dozen books and ten volumes bilingual poetry collections. Recipients of Dr. Da-Yu Wu's Memorial Foundation Science Writer Prize, 2006 and the naming Minor Planet 175450Phillipklu by the International Astronomical Union in 2014. He is living a leisure life after retirement from teaching and research. Writing, painting, listening to classical music are his habit. He grows vegetables in summer, chopping wood in winter, and loves to repair things. He is in reasonably good health with a sufficient retirement income for his simple lifestyle. Writing is part of his passion. He uses a keyboard, mouse, and monitor as the chimney in venting out his past humiliation or glory, success or failure, happiness or sorrow,
