'The Talion' is a crime novel set primarily in the United Kingdom, which examines the idea of vengeance. Struggling to survive the loss of his daughter, David Cross' life is transformed at a reclusive Buddhist monastery in Sri Lanka. Returning to the United Kingdom, he embarks on a crusade to rescue abducted children and kill their abductors. A Scottish policeman views David not as a hero but as a killer and seeks to bring him to justice. That changes when the policeman's daughter goes missing and he is forced to enlist the aid of the man he considers a ruthless murderer, to find her. In his effort to save the policeman's daughter, David uncovers information about the organization responsible for abducting his daughter, and he travels to Belgium to extract his final vengeance.
