The Rescue of Rebecca Sharon Wright
The Rescue of Rebecca
Sharon Wright
This is the second book written in this series and is from the notes in the file of Psychiatrist Dr. Fredrick Anestor from the Provincial Psychiatric Hospital. Born Etienne Grant a.k.a. Amahle in South Africa she was the daughter of a missionary who ran a farm for orphan children. She comes to Canada and takes the name Rebecca from one of the little girls who died of malnutrition. She was the victim of abuse and was terrified of spider's snakes and rats because of being forced to spend time in "the hole" a root cellar like place that her father used as punishment. She also has nightmares about "the red room" and "the black room" but can't remember what that means. Dr. Anestor must help her to face the horrors of her past if she is to get well and live a productive and happy life in the present and future.
