When the Four Adventurers venture into the North Mountains, strange things happen they can't explain. They hear voices, see things move, get bumped in the right direction, and get help they don't expect. These strange happenings continue with the Young Adventurers during their activities in the West Mountains, with the Wilderness Explorers on their venture in the Wicked Mountains, and with the Wilderness Explorers during their effort to save the Forlorn Rabbits. The strange happenings continue with Logan and Fraley on their journey out of the Wicked Mountains, and with the Rabbits Four on their sailing trip north on Big Water and their venture to the Dreadful Land east of Snow Cap Mountain. The Spirits of Bunny and Hare explains how Bunny's spirit watches over Hare as he gets older, and how the spirits of Bunny and Hare watch over and help other animals. But, the spirits of Bunny and Hare also encounter strange happenings they can't explain.
