Enter the world of The Preacher Man and of his disciples, The Cleansers, who, by way of draconian laws and Old Testament punishment, enforce 'goodness' in order to cleanse society. The book takes place in the near future, when things previously considered inconceivable can and do now happen, at the hands of the political, the intolerant and the criminal. But as The Cleansers strengthen and gain control, their determination to cleanse society becomes self righteous and self-interested, resulting in tyranny.
