Anything so beautiful, so refreshing, so moody, and enticing must be feminine. I love Nature and she loves me back. She recharges my soul. I fell for her at an early age. Camping and fishing were what I craved, so of course I was often outdoors-engaged with Nature without even acknowledging her. She was able to lure me, hook me, and embrace me for life. Most often, I have visited Nature to see more wilderness. Not to resolve anything, but to simply observe. On rare occasion or during troubled times, I retreated into the woods seeking answers. After attaining solitude, meditation led to real solutions. I did not find myself, nor was I looking. In fact, eventually I lost my Self. My name is Jackson Richards. Because of my passion for her, I have become invested in Nature with my most valued asset-time. The backcountry is where I spend hours and days, as well as money enough to enjoy life outside. As with any venture, the greater the investment, the greater the return; or the greater the loss. Looking ahead, I want to open my mind afresh-to let Nature have her way with me again and again. There is much to see and learn, and I need only start a journey.
