The story tells us the events that occurred chronologically after the end of the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, assuming then that this story would be a kind of continuation for it. Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer's best cousin, receives the care and protection of Douglas's widow, but at the same time he dedicates himself to his old games helping Tom in his band of robbers. However, fate plays against poor Huck, as he is captured by his evil father, who returns to town and takes him to live in a shack downstream. There, Huck remains captive, but manages to escape on a raft and meets his friend Jim, a runaway slave who flees seeking freedom from him. The two undertake a dangerous escape along the Mississippi River, and live many adventures together, until they reach the surprising and unexpected end of the play, in which they are helped by the risky and brave Tom Sawyer.
