The final two of five novels about a young boy and his adventures at home and abroad. The path to desolation - Danny and his parents spend their summer holidays in the English west countries. He and a girl he met endure a ride of terror on a train an event from his past catches up with him. Both needed a friend - Danny and his parents visit Scotland for the school half-term holiday. He is allowed to go on a trip on his own but is stranded and meets a suspicious teenage girl. Alone she fought the system - A teenage girl known to Danny buys a house but everything turns into a nightmare when she is let down by the solicitors, estate agents, and other persons involved. The everlasting danger - Danny's parents take him to a reclusive foreign country for the summer holidays. He travels alone on the local buses, doubts if the guide is telling them the whole truth, and wonders if two teenage girls whom he meets are what they seem. Not the wind moaned - Danny looks forward to spending his summer holidays with his friends but tragedy intervenes and his life is changed forever. This novel contains some songs set to music.
