Five of the stories are about Mowgli and all of them apart from one, are set in India. The stories include: How Fear Came; The Miracle of Purun Bhagat; Letting in the Jungle; The Undertakers; The King's Ankus; Quiquern; Red Dog; and, The Spring Running.
