What Do The Rolling Stones Themselves Say About Foreign Tongues?
About the recording process of Foreign Tongues, Mick Jagger states: “I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis. It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 fantastic tracks, and we worked as fast as we could. I like the space there because it’s not too big, so you can really feel the passion in the room from everyone.”
Keith Richards adds: “The album Foreign Tongues has a connection to Hackney Diamonds, and it was great to work in London again and have that London vibe around us. It was a month of concentrated impact. For me, it’s all about the joy of it. I am blessed to be able to do this, and may it last long.”
Ronnie Wood comments: “The atmosphere in the room was so creative, and the whole band was in top form throughout the process. Very often, we nailed it in the first take. I hope everyone will love it.”
The album's striking cover artwork is a painting created by renowned American artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn, who states: “To create the album cover for The Rolling Stones is an artistic honor – a dialogue with one of the most enduring forces in cultural history.”
