Pet Shop Boys | A Man From The Future

"A Man from the Future" is a musical sound biography about computer pioneer and codebreaker Alan Turing, written by Pet Shop Boys in collaboration with Turing biographer Professor Andrew Hodges.

Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe first presented the work at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms in 2014, accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra and BBC Singers, and with Juliet Stevenson as narrator. In this new version, both the text and the music have been revised. The recording is produced by Pet Shop Boys and Sven Helbig, who also arranged the strings. Juliet Stevenson returns as narrator, while the Manchester Camerata Octet provides the strings, and the Manchester Grammar School Choir also participates.

The Blu-ray Audio edition includes instrumental versions of the album as well as versions without narrator voice in Dolby Atmos and High Resolution Stereo (96 kHz / 44-bit). The 2CD edition has a bonus disc with instrumental versions.
