Crafted by it's performance artist director/writer/star Eleanor Antin to pass as an uncovered 1920s Yiddish silent, this unusual indie effort set in a Russian shtetl follows an ambitious poet (Pier Marton) whose designs on a merchant's pretty daughter (Christine Berry) are set askew when a vivacious ballerina (Antin) and her Bohemian troupe settle into town. Anna Henriques, Marcia Goodman also star. 98 min.
