Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford) is a cranky pilot ferrying merchandise around a cluster of tropical islands. Although he despises the tourists who swarm onto the islands, he agrees to act as an air-taxi for New Yorker Robin Monroe (Anne Heche), who urgently needs to get to Tahiti. When a storm forces the plane down, the mismatched couple are forced to battle it out against the elements - and each other.
