Sylvia Syms stars as Margaret Thatcher in this dramatised documentary chronicling the events leading up to her resignation as Prime Minister in 1990. As members of her own cabinet and party unite against her, Michael Heseltine (John Wood) mounts a challenge for the leadership of the Conservative Party, ultimately forcing her to leave Downing Street. Chancellor John Major (Keith Drinkel) then defeats Heseltine in the leadership contest and succeeds Thatcher as Prime Minister.
