James Wiseman directs this documentary chronicling the career of racing driver Nigel Mansell and the rise of the Williams Formula 1 racing team, culminating in their record-breaking season together in 1992. During his F1 career, which began in 1980, Mansell drove for Lotus, Williams and Ferrari and became a star, though a Drivers' Championship would elude him for over a decade. Frank Williams founded his team in 1977 with a focus on technical innovation and continuous engineering development.
In 1992, Mansell won the first five races of the season. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, only the 11th race of the season, he became World Champion at the age of 39, securing the fourth Drivers' Championship and fifth Constructors' Championship for Williams. Archival footage and race highlights feature alongside contributions from Mansell, Williams personnel and racing drivers Damon Hill, Jenson Button and Karun Chandhok.
