Josh Boone co-writes and directs this action horror spin-off of the 'X-Men' franchise. Teenage mutants Dani Moonstar (Blu Hunt), a psychic illusionist, teleporting sorceress Illyana Rasputin (Anya Taylor-Joy), Rahne Sinclair (Maisie Williams),who is capable of turning into a wolf, Sam Guthrie (Charlie Heaton), who can fly, and Roberto da Costa (Henry Zaga), who can absorb and manipulate solar energy, are brought together at a remote psychiatric facility by Dr Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga). As they each attempt to gain control over their powers and escape their traumatic pasts, wicked experiments and sinister goings-on force them to fight their way out.
