This album was recorded live during the 1971 All Indian Days Pow-Wow and features the great Pawnee singer, John Knifechief, leading a group of southern style singers. These songs, which form a bridge between the older traditions of the warrior societies and newer tradition of the intertribal pow-wow, demonstrate the dynamism and vitality of Native American culture.
