When musician and hi-fi pro Lou Hinkley approached Gary Koh of Genesis Advanced Technology (GAT) about organizing the Pacific Audio Fest in the Seattle area, GAT offered to sponsor a big band. The Paul Sawtelle Big Band gratefully accepted this offer to come together again after the forced break due to the COVID pandemic. The performance of the Academia Award-winning saxophonist Sawtelle and his big band, together with singers Bethany Wilson and Jeff Carter, at the Pacific Audio Fest 2022 was full of enthusiasm and was therefore celebrated frenetically by the audience.
