Alex Bradford
The highly influential gospel composer, singer, arranger and choir director, Professor Alex Bradford, helped initiate the modern mass choir movement in gospel and had a profound influence on a diverse group of artists such as Bob Marley, Little Richard and Ray Charles, who adopted many of Bradford's vocal and stage mannerisms. Bradford was not only a supremely gifted singer with an impressive vocal range; he was also one of the best songwriters of the Golden Age of Gospel. The vintage tracks presented here feature Professor Bradford leading his choir through a selection of gospel standards. All selections newly re-mastered.
