Terri Wells
Philly soul chanteuse Terri Wells first came to prominence in the mid-1970s when Dexter Wansel hired her as a session singer for the legendary Philadelphia International Records label where she recorded and toured with Lou Rawls, M.F.S.B., Jean Carne and Dexter (singing on 'Love Is Everywhere', 'Life on Mars' and lead on 'The Sweetest Pain'). in 1979, when Dexter retired from live performances, Terry was hired by Roy Ayers. She toured in Ayers band, co-wrote 'Let's Stay Together' for Roy on his 'Feelin' Good' album, and was featured lead vocalist on Roy's 'Turn Me Loose,' which led to Terri's debut solo release 'You Make It Heaven' in 1983. Presented here is the classic 1983 single, spawned from the album, featuring the original 12" version, an edited version plus bonus instrumental. Newly remastered.
