Surrounded by his acolytes, emeritus musicians of the new jazz scene in France, drummer Benjamin Sanz releases his second album "The Escape" as a leader on the brand new label MiRR. With a musical journey characterized by eclecticism, Sanz wished to return to the essence of his instrument to pay tribute to Black American music and jazz through this new opus. Following a first disc released on the label of the legendary Archie Shepp (Major Mutation / Archieball / Harmonia Mundi), he reaffirms himself as a drummer-leader with this new project and his new quintet "Directions".
