Stranger Things: Music From The Upside Down London Music Works

Experience the electronic sounds of the hit Netflix series set in the 80s on the medium that emerged from that era: the CD. Experience nostalgia in a tangible form! Behind the concept of the series, which is reminiscent of classics such as ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’, “Gremlins” and ‘Alien’, are brothers Matt and Ross Duffer. The cast includes, among many others, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Noah Schnapp, Cara Buono, Sadie Sink, Priah Ferguson and Maya Hawke. For the audio component of a pitch trailer – to complement the visualisation of their idea – the Duffer Brothers chose the song “Dirge” by the band Survive. Later, band members Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein were responsible for the score of ‘Stranger Things’. His synthesiser sounds create a musical metaphor for the actual 1980s, evoking, among other things, the works of John Carpenter (‘Snake in the Rainbow’, ‘Big Trouble in Little China’).

The Emmy Award-winning track is included on this release alongside 17 other tracks, accompanied by a 24-page booklet. In addition to the standard track listing, there is an ‘upside-down version’ – on the second disc – featuring a correspondingly new arrangement. Performed by London Music Works.
