"Trash" was originally released in August 1996 and was the first sign of life from a revitalized Suede – and the first of a total of five Top 10 singles from Coming Up. With Richard Oakes on guitar and Neil Codling on keyboards, "Trash" immediately became a radio hit and went straight in at No. 3 on the British singles chart. 30 years later, the track still overflows with energy, confidence, and attitude and rightly stands as one of the great anthems of the 1990s.

As always, there was also plenty for Suede's dedicated fans to enjoy on the single's B-sides. B-sides like "Europe Is Our Playground", "Another No One" and "Every Monday Morning Comes" were quickly considered just as essential as the A-side itself among the band's loyal followers.

Whereas all of Suede's previous singles had been released on 12" vinyl, "Trash" was instead issued as two separate CD singles, each with its unique B-sides. To mark the 30th anniversary, both original CD1 and CD2 releases are now gathered for the first time on one strictly limited 12" EP, pressed on purple 45 RPM vinyl.

For this special anniversary release, the original graphic designer of Coming Up, Howard Wakefield, has returned to digitally restore Nick Knight and Peter Saville's iconic photographs and artwork, as well as reinterpret the visual expression in a format that unfolds to full 12" size.
