Limited vinyl only release. All tracks previously unreleased. Melys’ s first session release from a collection of 11 BBC sessions. Sleeve notes written by BBC radio presenter Huw Stephens. Melys are an indie band from Betwys-Y-Coed in Wales. Formed in 1996, they sing in both English and Welsh and became virtually synonymous with John Peel's BBC Radio 1 programme in its later years - recording eleven sessions for the show on Radio 1. They were number one in the Peel Festive Fifty in 2001 and won Best Welsh-language Act at the Welsh Music Awards in 2002. Following a lengthy break from music Melys are returning with this special Record Store Day 24 release and will be touring with The Wedding Present in 2024. 11 track LP
