West Music Club
Under the baton of Richard Rousselet, the West Music Club has recorded a homage to the iconic producer Marc Moulin and his jazz fusion project Placebo. Playing swing since 1969, this is the first time the big band has explored the repertoire of this mythic 70s band. Created in 1969, the West Music Club is one of Europe's oldest jazz big bands. For the past 30 years it has been conducted by Richard Rousselet, a key figure in Belgium's jazz scene The West Music Club is part of the long tradition of jazz big bands, while remaining totally open to contemporary formats. Playing Placebo is an example of this openness, as Marc Moulin's music has not aged in the least. In fact, it is more contemporary than ever. The live concerts are accompanied by original audio-visual documents about the group Placebo.
