Best known for their hit songs "Lollipop," "Mr. Sandman," "Never on Sunday" and the doo wop classic "Eddie My Love," The Chordettes were a fabulous vocal quartet and one of the more popular white girl groups of the '50s. This essential CD compiles 30 of the finest songs the group issued mostly for the Cadence label during their peak, between 1952 and 1962. The set includes uptempo tunes, mid-tempo numbers and ballads. It also contains some lesser-heard songs that are just as enjoyable as the hits.
