In April 1964 Jazz legend **Charles Mingus** went to Europe with one of his greatest bands, featuring **Eric Dolphy** on alto sax, bass clarinet and flute, **Johnny Coles** on trumpet, **Clifford Jordan** on tenor sax, **Jaki Byard** on piano, and **Dannie Richmond** on drums. The three selections presented here are from a performance in Paris during that tour. Including the nearly 25-minute *'Fables Of Faubus', 'So Long Eric'* and of course *'Orange Was The Color Of Her Dress'* which **Mingus** debuted on this tour.
