Bulat Okudzava, the father of Russian songwriting, together with Vladimir Vysockij and Aleksandr Galic formed the sacred triad of the "bards", the "poets with guitar" who, with essential ballads, knotted the thread of hope in the so-called period of stagnation (1960-1985). His songs are a patrimony of poetry that melodically sinks into the rich Georgian and Armenian folklore.
