Depalma (Incl Lopazz Remix) Collins
Depalma (Incl Lopazz Remix)
Collins
On the meerestief 014 (Wacker & Zittrich), Anthony Collins was already represented as a remixer and for the recently released EP ''Tiefer'' (Various Artists), he contributed the sunrise hymn ''Paraffine''. So it suggested itself to bind the young and talented french guy much more to meerestief with an own single. So far, his tracks were released, whether alone or in a duet with divers mates, e.g on ''Get Physical''. ''Depalma'' continues where ''Paraffine'' has stopped, while the title ''Depalma'' is already heading the direction. With pressure on the kick there is build up an immense tension, in order to let loose afterwards with a flat storm and to collapse back upon itself. A classical open-air tune for all the terraces in this world. Collins gives the meerestief label with this release a more house like and warmer touch. For a adequate remix, Stefan Eichinger from Heidelberg was called. As Lopazz, he has got the qualities of a chameleon and is already able to show a multitude of releases on labels like Output, Get Physical or Compost Black, being it rousing deep-house or offensive electro clash. The blooded musician shows on his ''Depalma'' remix his whole ability. There is masterly building up in the wildpitch-house principle style around the slapped bass and strings a massive sound wall, the coronation is the newly well-rehearsed guitar, which provides the track much more an open air atmosphere than the original. A production, which probably Ian Pooley would have loved to make, too.
