GTCM is back for a very special debut release by Parisian artist Low Jack. At the crossroads between avant-garde techno-funk and a mischievous take on the sound of yesterday, Low Jack's clockmacker beats are channeled through a radiesthesia pendulum and the effects are akin to vertigo-inducing opiates of the strongest persuasion. In addition to the three outstanding originals, this release contains Gerd's very first remix as Geeeman. The wait has been long since his acclaimed releases on Clone and he's delivered an irresistible remix geared towards dancefloor explosion that must not be missed. SLOW DANCE The EP opens with this slow burner. It's been a year since this track premiered in Brodinski's Fabriclive 60 mix, and the wait for DJs to own this gem is finally over. Right from the start, the flanger creates a disorienting feeling of rise and fall through space. Pulsating electronics, liquid textures and other shifting frequencies are held together by a deep bassline. Percussion is sparse but ticks all the right boxes when it comes to setting the dancefloor in motion. This simple but intricate track will work wonders as a tool and will also achieve mind-boggling results when played on its own. LOOK AT MY PYRAMID The ghost of Egyptian Lover looms over this track but it's much more than a derivative production, it's a tribute. With a paranormal use of FX, in particular short delay at its most trippy, this track is all about jackin' hypnosis. Add a tubular loop, chords, strings and treated vocals and you've got a fine industrial house track ready to work the dancefloor.
