The Commons Fis

Clear vinyl. Individually numbered and limited to 250 copies. FIS might not be a name you have heard of, and his music might be unfamiliar due to his very limited back catalogue, but don't let that allow you to come to any premature assumptions. His music is of incomparable quality, fully matured, and there really is nothing out there that sounds quite like it. Words like 'organic' 'crusty' 'raw' 'insane' spring to mind but none of them quite hit the nail on the head. At first it might be an awkward listen because it just doesn't make any sense, it's a bit like chaos theory, its so chaotic and unpredictable that it comes full circle and creates a picture that you really need to step back and view from a distance to appreciate. Slight elements of modern electronica reside amongst a much more earthy, tribal and spiritual backdrop of hand picked field recordings. This is not an album you can blast from your laptop speakers and flick through looking for the drop to make a quick assessment of weather you're going to like the rest of it or not. It takes time and patience to really appreciate this little gem, hold it in different lights, study it from different angles and you will discover a multitude of different faces.
