Mavra Chang was once a master criminal, but for years she has been trapped in a no-longer-human body on the Well Worldthe control planet for the universe. There, myriad strange races exist, separated by barriers erected by the mysterious race that built the Well World and then vanished billions of years ago. Orbiting the planet is a planetoid concealing a supercomputer that can restore Mavra Chang to her original formif she can obtain a spaceship to reach it.
