Homicide-detective Jim McDonald tackles the most challenging murder case of his career. Only he believes there has been a murder committed. And for him, it is not belief, it is fact. Three apparently unrelated accidents have claimed three apparently unrelated victims in Halifax. The first, a wildly successful businessman who roamed the highways of Nova Scotia in his armor-plated Cadillac as if he owned the roads. The general consensus suggested he could afford to own them many times over. The second, a middle-classed salesman type who was just trying to grind out a daily living.
